Initial Consultation
After contacting us, we will schedule a meeting to visit your garden and discuss your needs. During this meeting, we will create a design brief that will help us develop a concept for your garden based on your functional requirements and style preferences.
Design Phase
To accurately design your garden, we will need to conduct a survey of the existing site. If your garden is large or has complex level changes, we may recommend hiring a professional landscape surveyor. From the survey, we will create several concept designs in sketch form to show the layout, hardscaping and softscaping areas, and existing structures. These designs can be revised based on your input. Once we have finalized the concept design, we will create a detailed, annotated drawing showing the final layout and a mood board with suggested paving, planting, and garden structures.
Construction Phase
Flora Garden Design can recommend hardscaping companies to provide a competitive and transparent estimate for construction based on the masterplan. The estimate will include a description of the materials and scope of work.
Planting & Aftercare
Upon the completion of the newly constructed garden, we would be delighted to take on the task of planting. This typically initiates with a visit to the nearby plant nursery, allowing clients to explore and consider the plants for their garden. Additionally, we offer the creation of comprehensive planting plans, illustrating the optimal placement of each plant to ensure they thrive in their designated spaces. Our aim is to guide clients in selecting the most suitable plants for their garden and provide a visual road-map for an aesthetically pleasing and well-balanced garden.
Upon request, we can create an aftercare report detailing the care requirements for all plants in your garden. This report can be useful for future reference and can be updated as needed. We also offer regular maintenance services in Surrey, whether you need frequent care or less frequent visits. We can help you keep your garden looking healthy throughout the year."
